Harley Davidson is the number 1 manufacturer of custom motorcycles in the world. Their motorcycles are known as
the leaders of the custom motorcycle industry. It was not always that way. In the mid 1970's their motorcycles became old and un reliable
and the customers demanded more than just the logo. In the late 1970's Yamaha
introduced the Japaness answer, The Virago 750, V twin duplicate of Harley Davidson. The motor cycle was first
to come face to face with harley davidson. It's 1982 model was 50 hp and was much reliable then the original.
This motorcycle forced Harley Davidson to rearrange themselves and to
fight back.
IN 1984 harley davidson released the softail series which was a big success.

Touring Motorcycles
In 1976 the first touring motorcycle which was built for long distances
and riding
with comfort is the Honda Gold Wing. It proved to be very
reliable, capable of doing long distances and became a huge success.
2005 GoldWing
When it comes to burning up the miles in lounge chair comfort there has
only been one real choice : The Honda GL 1500 Gold Wing. The Wing is based
on a platform that has been around for the better part of 25 years and
over that time has been refined into what is generally regarded as the
ultimate long-distance tourer. The Gold Wing has not seen much in the way
of competition - until now. It even has air condition on it.

Sport Bikes
Sport Bikes are build purely for speed they are designed for racing
track motorcycles and feature the latest technology such as:
state-of-the-art multicylinder engine designs; aluminum alloy frames and
ultra-sophisticated adjustable suspension just to mention but a few.
There is a lot of choice in the market today and almost every manufacturer
carry several different versions of sport bikes from small (250cc)
learners up to massive (1300cc) rocket ships.
A Sport Bike can be made into a touring bike or commuter. However
there are at their best on the race track or fast curve filled roads.
Unfortunately, Sport Bikes are the causes of the highest number of bike
accidents.
Whatever bike you choose - just remember one thing - be carefull on the
road - your bike can be your friend or your killer.
Maintain and repair. Before you leave for your
adventure, check for some leaks and defects in the motorcycle then repair
them rightaway to avoid further trouble. Check it with diligence. Regular
repairs are also necessary to be sure of the motorcycle’s condition and
safety.
Be prepared. Be sure that the tank is full and is more than enough to
carry you to your destination and back. The situation when you need
something right in the middle of the race or in a busy riding day will
piss you off. Always prepare and be ready. That is the best weapon you can
use at any given circumstance.
